House cleaning isn’t the most glamorous job and it’s really hard work. Unfortunately, there’s a stigma about being employed as a house cleaner. That it’s just a job for people with no other qualifications. This couldn’t be further from the truth.

Most of the cleanerBs have bachelor’s degrees (ranging from Marketing to Political Science to Entomology), and some have master’s degrees. We are hardworking individuals with other options that choose to do this work because we love it.

It’s definitely not for everyone, but it has really been a great job for me. Let me tell you why:

1. It’s a stress reliever

I’ve always enjoyed cleaning as a way to relieve stress. Friends used to laugh at me when I said I like to clean my home, but I really do. Part of this comes from endorphins that flood my system when I am doing difficult manual labor. Stress is inevitable. But being able to get it out by scrubbing your floors, is the best.

2. It’s a workout

Yes, cleaning is hard. I know I don’t have to explain this to you. Cleaning well is about quality elbow grease. In my busy life, I don’t have a lot of time to work out regularly but being able to run up and down stairs, scrub the tub, and vacuum gets me closer to my 10,000 steps!

3. It has visible results

I am the kind of person that needs to be able to see that I’ve accomplished something in my work. The day whizzes by. What’s more is that I am able to see the work I’ve done, it’s visible in tangible results, which is fulfilling.

4. It makes a difference

When I first started with cleanerB, Shawna B was always talking about what a difference cleaning makes in peoples’ lives. I honestly didn’t get it.

Now, I know what a difference it makes. I have walked into homes with overwhelmed moms, flustered business owners, and many other clients just trying to get through the day. To see what it means for them to come home to a clean house at the end of the day really makes it all so worth it.

We really take pride in what we do. We hope that we make your life brighter.
